Wheelchair and Para-Tennis Instruction

🙏 for Myra - 5th surgery in 90 days. Cleaning out residual cancerous debris from last procedure, new biopsy, hopefully taking out the stent + removing 5 kidney stones in other kidney.

Checking in at 5:15am - peaceful drive over toll road, listening to Alan Jackson “Precious Memories” album, old time gospel songs we grew up on.

“Be strong my love, you’ve got this.”
Join us at Mollies in San Juan Capistrano this evening to meet our awesome wheelchair tennis players and their families. 3:30-8:30pm.
RSVP w Mollies for a specific time or just stop by.
Happy 42nd Anniversary to my beautiful bride, Myra. It’s been a tough 18 months, she’s been a Joan of Ark through it all. Our love for each other is stronger than ever and we have so many friends who have prayed over us - health and work issues. Very good meeting w Dr. Baskin today, next procedure mid-July. We are truly blessed - God is good. “I love you dear lady.”

To all our Prayer Warriors - Family and friends: We can’t express how much your thoughts, encouragement, and prayers 🙏🙏🙏have meant to us these last 6 weeks. Thank you all so much.💜💜💜

Myra is going in for her 4th surgery to get rid of cancer in her kidney right now, with Dr. Hsi (UCI Urology)and his team in charge. We pray for God’s guidance and calm hands over this medical staff to eradicate her cancer today and give her quick healing with as little pain as possible. We pray for Myra’s strength to return so she can enjoy Dorian’s graduation from SCHS next week. (Here she is doing arm curls with her first 2 grandchildren, Kale and Kalie)

God is good, there is power in prayer. 🙏💪🙏

I’ll update this evening. 💜💜💜

🙏🙏🙏for Myra, Dr. Baskin and his team of assistants and skilled surgical nurses. Going after that 1/2” cancerous tumor in her urethra tube tomorrow morning at new UCI hospital near campus. Kidney has improved a lot in 3 weeks w nephrostomy and proper drainage, so they want to try and get rid of cancer before taking the whole kidney.
There’s power in prayer, so ok to share with those who might not be in my FB group, but whose lives she’s been a part of. Will keep you all posted …. and thank you. 💜🙏💜
After 2 1/2 days, 2 surgeries for Myra, leaving new UCI Hospital and Chao Cancer Center, with more to go. Good spirits, but tired, Myra had amazing doctors and nurses working on her. Beatriz has 2 other jobs and is amazing. She took an extra shift today just to see Myra this morning.
Thank you all for your prayers. God is good, he has this. 🙏✝️💪💜
Thank you all my FB friends who are truly “family” to me - for all the warm birthday wishes this week via my FB page, Myra’s page and LinkedIn. Your comments and thoughts were the highlight of my day. I hope to catch up and respond to all. Kirk came down to help celebrate. God is good.💜🙏💕
If you know, you know….Mexican Pizza at Rachael’s Mexican Food - Mike Arus’ mom’s old restaurant, named after his daughter.

This dish, brought over from Don Jose’s, hasn’t been on the menu for many years, but long-time patrons can order it. If you’re ever near Irvine Blvd and Alton, stop in and give it a try.

Happy New Year from the Orahood’s to all our Edison friends and family.
Happy Heavenly Birthday to our brother Kent.

KO w Preston Oh - nationally ranked 12 year old from San Juan Capistrano. I was his first coach at 3.5 years old. He later worked out with Ryan Hill at Marguerite Tennis Center (where this pix was taken) who continued him on the R.O.G.Y. system, working on fundamentals up thru the USTA system before going on to tournament play.
“Keep up the hard work, Preston.”
